CIBIS NINE

Cibis Nine building has a sustainability achievement award LEED Platinum. The same award achieved by buildings in London, such as The Crystal and 100 Cheapside. Also includes skyscrapers in New York, namely One Manhattan West and One Bryan Park.

The following are some of the sustainability features of the Cibis Nine Building:

  • Annual electricity consumption is 31% lower than conventional American standard buildings. This is contributed by the AC system which has high energy efficiency and the building facade is designed with a low heat cover. Building direction orientation is determined based on the annual sun’s orbit. Thus maximizing natural light to reduce lamp usage. It is calculated that >75% of the floor area has adequate natural light.
  • There are carefully distributed carbon monoxide (CO2) sensor points that regulate the performance of exhaust fans in the parking lot. So that the electricity consumption for exhaust fans in full load when the CO2 level in the parking space exceeds the threshold.
  • For the air quality of the building, Cibis Nine has a ventilation system with the amount of fresh air entering is 33% larger than a conventional American standard building. So that in a day, the ambient air changes 12 times.
  • Rainwater from the roof and outside of the building will be channeled to rainfed tanks as a water source for gardens and toilet/urinal flushing. Then the waste water from the toilet/urinal is recycled again for the same needs.
  • For the same building with American standards as a comparison, Cibis Nine has reduced annual Green House Gas emissions by 446 Tons, equivalent to 938 barrels of oil, or turned off 88 cars in a year. In terms of water efficiency, the total annual savings are equivalent to six times the amount of water in an Olympic swimming pool.
